The Wallachian plains are often ignored by tourists (not at all a bad thing), yet they host fine, remote and well kept traditional villages, quiet and pleasant bike ride opportunities and a few interesting natural reserves or forests. Fine verandah houses topped with straw or wood shingle roofs, easy-going, friendly locals and a few appealing churches and manors are among what there is to see. Yet I just like these routes for their being relaxing and pleasant. This time, a bike ride SW of Bucharest. Wallachian plains, fresh springtime grass and flowers, the odd deep water river crossing, bike on the shoulder, plenty of sheep and friendly locals. The ride track is available at my dedicated page or directly here.
