Almost entirely wooden. Located in my beloved Northern Romania. Far away from the hordes. Lacking the impressive popular attractions. These mountains are mostly about the “bălăureală” (En. walking through the weeds’n bushes). They are just about setting and going for days, a compass and a poor ol’ map in hand, some mălai, enough water and a tent in the backpack unless, of course, relying on sheepfolds or doing loops based on stays in the villages down the valley. For ideas of cycling and trekking routes in these mountains and not only, refer to my GPS track page.
